The bike is boxed - not easy- the front pannier racks have come off. Fortunately, as Keith will not be available to help reassemble bike at the other end, my very kind sounding hosts who have arranged for me at be met at the airport near Washington DC, are also arranging for a bike shop to check over the cycle.

3 months to go

I have my flight booked from Glasgow to Washington DC, and my return flight booked from Seattle. That leaves 4,000 miles of cycling between the two. I will be beginning in May, and be back at the end of July. For most of the time I will be following the trans American cycle route - I have the maps!
